The NGO Mare Mare seeks to encourage the local community to preserve old crafts, such as embroidery, knitting, weaving, crocheting, and sewing. The economic position of women who are the main target group of the project is also improving, since they make up more than 60% of the unemployed in Herceg Novi. By preserving traditional crafts and promoting handmade items, souvenirs, decorations, and jewelry that are created with these crafts, the cultural contents in the city are also advanced.
