description | "The project focuses on promoting and enhancing gender equality through the education of high school students and teachers on media literacy and the impact of media on shaping attitudes about gender roles. The project consists of seven activities, including preparatory activities, training for teachers and students, the development of work plans and programs for media corner teams, the formation of media corner teams, mentoring and monitoring of media corners, workshops in high schools, and media corner visibility activities. The project directly involves 230 high school students and 80 teachers. The project will enable high school students and teachers to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for analyzing and critically understanding media, as well as raising awareness of the importance of gender equality in the media space. The project will also provide them with the opportunity to actively engage in creating and implementing media content that promotes gender equality and share it with the wider public. Through all project activities, an increase in awareness of gender equality in society is expected, leading to a reduction in discrimination based on gender, gender-based violence, and other women's rights-related issues. As the main issue, the project targets gender inequality prevalent in Montenegrin society, viewed through the lens of media literacy. The focus will be on examining harmful gender stereotypes and discrimination in the media. Through project activities, high school students will be empowered to recognize gender stereotypes and biases often conveyed through media and critically assess the information presented to them. The main goal of the project is to promote and enhance gender equality through the education of high school students and teachers on media literacy and the impact of media on shaping attitudes about gender roles. Key activities: Training for teachers and students on media literacy with a focus on gender equality and stereotypes. |
