"The ""FREEDOMKEEPERS"" project: Mobile Teams in Local Communities Fighting Against Human Trafficking identifies children and young people from the Roma and Egyptian populations in Montenegro, as well as migrants, as particularly vulnerable groups exposed to human trafficking. The project activities are designed to increase the coverage of at-risk groups - Roma and Egyptian children and adolescents, as well as migrants in Montenegro - by raising awareness about the problem of human trafficking and providing training to recognize the risks and situations that could lead them to become victims.
General Project Objective:
Enhanced collaboration between civil society organizations, government authorities, and other stakeholders in the field of strengthening human rights.

Specific Project Objective:
Contribution to the prevention of human trafficking, one of the most severe human rights violations, by empowering potential victims to recognize risks and respond adequately to them.

Target Groups: Roma and Egyptian children and adolescents, migrants, victims of human trafficking.

Key project activities include:
- Preparation and conducting of 60 field visits to Roma and Egyptian settlements in Podgorica, Berane, and Bar.
- Holding 2 workshops in reception centers for foreigners in Spuž and Božaj.
- Providing legal assistance to 30 families at risk of statelessness.
- Establishing 3 mobile preventive teams for early risk detection and human trafficking prevention, comprising representatives."
