The project of the organization SOS Telephone Bijelo Polje aims to enhance the quality of services provided to women victims of violence and domestic violence in the municipality of Bijelo Polje. Considering the lack of local support services, the project focuses on strengthening the capacity of the SOS telephone to more effectively address women victims of violence. Additionally, planned activities include providing quality support to women victims of family violence, raising public awareness about the project and existing support services.
General Objective:
Enhancement of the quality of services provided to women victims of violence and domestic violence in the municipality of Bijelo Polje in accordance with national standards.

Specific Objectives:

Strengthening the capacity of the SOS telephone for the effective treatment of women victims of family violence.
Providing a quality support service for women victims of family violence.
Informing the public about project results and existing support services.

Target groups encompass women victims of violence from different parts of Bijelo Polje, diverse age groups, nationalities, religious affiliations, and socio-economic statuses, as well as employees in institutions relevant to the prevention and protection from family violence. The ultimate beneficiaries of the project are women, children victims of violence, potential victims, their families, and the broader community.

Activities involve the training of new volunteers, providing individual support through psychosocial and legal assistance, media promotion for public awareness, and project implementation from February 1, 2024, to October 1, 2024. The total project budget is €9,980, and the objectives include improving the accessibility of services via a 24/7 hotline and face-to-face support, informing about violence and victims' rights, providing psychoemotional support, empowerment, consultations in crisis situations, and referrals to other institutions and organizations."
