The main goal of the project is to raise public awareness and empower women and girls with developmental disabilities who face a series of challenges, such as double discrimination based on gender and based on disability, as well as difficult access to education, inadequate health care, employment, social isolation, and gender-based violence. Project activities include: 1) Conducting research and analyzing their needs through interviews and focus groups consisting of 15 women and girls, their parents and guardians, 15 representatives of NGOs, and national and local organizations dealing with protecting women and persons with disabilities. 2) During three months, 15 selected girls and women with disabilities aged 13 to 30 from Podgorica and their parents will participate in targeted training and education led by psychologists and professionals who will provide them with psycho-social support. 3) A public campaign to promote inclusivity and protect the rights of women and girls with disabilities will raise awareness of challenges and discrimination, educate the public about the importance of inclusion and equality, and encourage public policymakers to implement protective measures. 4) Develop local partnerships between relevant NGOs and local and national institutions.
