description

"Overall Objective:
To improve communication between young people and local government in Nikšić by developing a digital tool (Digital Neighborhood Community) that enhances youth engagement and empowers them to use participation mechanisms and initiate changes within their local communities. This will be achieved through training sessions, a youth competition to beautify community spaces, and strengthening the role of civil society actors in the local community.

Specific Objectives:
Specific Objective 1: Train young people to identify and communicate issues within their communities using a citizen media concept. This includes providing training on how to manage and administer a community website to facilitate effective communication and engagement.

Specific Objective 2: Establish an efficient communication channel and a clear section on the Optimists website for municipal local services and businesses. This will streamline the way local services are presented and accessed by the community.

Specific Objective 3: Empower young people to take action in their communities by organizing a competition to design and improve community spaces. This will provide immediate, visible results of their engagement, motivating further participation and involving additional youth in community activities.

The project aims to address the lack of effective communication and engagement among youth and local authorities by offering an online alternative that overcomes barriers associated with direct, face-to-face interactions. This approach will contribute to more efficient functioning of local communities and higher levels of youth involvement."
